After Vanessa left in early June, we were lucky to have Collette (Ontario) and Jamie (Alberta) join us.
Jamie had an amazing energy about her and was completely open to any task and any person. Her openness got her into some trouble in the outside world, but in the One! world it meant that the children were instantly attached to her and sharing in love of life.
Colette had a huge heart. The way that she interacted with the children was as if they were her own. She grew attached to all of the children and just couldn’t leave when she was scheduled to. We were lucky to have her stay for an extra couple of weeks!
Sisters, Jen and Robbie joined us for a couple of weeks in July. They gathered donations before they left and worked hard in Nallasopara despite the heat. Both struggled with adjusting but when with the children no one would have known. They were an integral part of the registration process in Nallasopara.
In Canada, we have had new additions to our hard-working fundraising and marketing team.
Joining Marilyn and Julie are: Helen, Chris, Justine, Alysha, Patrick, Amy, Alex, and Erica. 6 members of the ten person team have spent time with our children in India. A special thank you to Marilyn and Julie for their seemingly endless commitment to the children of One! and for spreading their seemingly endless amounts of love.
