Do all you can with what you have, in the time you have, in the place you are.

Lesson for all of us.
The above quote was written by a Zulu boy, born into dire poverty while also being infected with AIDS. This young man died at the age of 12.
None of us know what tomorrow may bring. All we can do is concentrate on doing the best we can today.

Fun-Filled, Busy Months...
|
|
October started like any other month with studying being everyone’s main worry. Everyone prepared for exam week and from the 20th to the 24th, exams were written. All of the children tried their best and were successful. One highlight was brothers Akash and Lali tying for Student of the Year in the Khar School.
November started with a bang with our semester trip planned to Borivli National Park on the 1st. Over 60 children from both schools enjoyed a relaxed day of monkeys, climbing, cricket, biryani and more.
November 7th was our bi-annual sports day. Both schools now look forward to this day of fun, competition and camraderie. This event was no exception.
For the rest of the month, we practiced and planned and practiced some more for our Annual Program (2nd at Nallasopara and 8th at Khar) scheduled for the 30th.

The terrorist attacks forced us to close both schools for one and a half days. We vowed not to let it stop us though. In the end, the program was slightly subdued and many of the young children were unable to attend due to their parents fears.
Even still, the event was an overwhelming success with amazing dancing, singing, acting, and the loving support of family and friends.

It will be a formal affair with Special Guests, Indian Cuisine, Traditional Dance, Live Music, Silent Auction and more.
