Volunteer for One! in India
Is volunteering in Mumbai enticing?
Volunteers in India are responsible for the children's private education of not
only scholastic growth, but personal and physical growth as well. Typical
duties of a volunteer include teaching classes (basic hygiene, basic English, basic math, etc.),
maintaining child records, organizing weekly activities (meals, sports, drama,
music, travel), etc.
The volunteers are expected to put in approximately seven hours a day, five days
a week in program implementation and twice a month on Saturdays for 3 hours to
take the children on fieldtrips (strictly fun!!).
There are MANY holidays in India, which allows volunteers to go on weekend
trips out of Mumbai to explore India.
One! provides food and accommodation for its volunteers. This provided,
volunteers are able to give more time and energy to the children who really
need it.
Volunteering for One! is a full-time job, but a job that is more satisfying
than any other!
